Essential Oils

I recently had a poor review left on my Facebook Page by someone who had a problem with my use of Essential Oils in my rattery and offering to add orders to my own PERSONAL order if anyone wished to do so.

To address my advertising products on my rattery page, it is just that, my page, on which I do as I see fit. 

As for the use of oils, I have taken many steps to educate myself on what I am using and recommending including taking French Medicinal Aromatherapy Certification. This was taken through the New York Institute of Aromatic Studies.  It is 75+ education hours + 48 hours which includes 12 case studies and final paper. It is NOT affiliated with Young Living. I also plan on taking full Animal Aromatherapy Certification when time permits.

I reference Dr. Melissa Shelton DVM, who has worked for over 10 years with medical grade essential oils in her veterinary practice, including those by Young Living, and authored the Animal Desk Reference. I use this as my BIBLE when using ANY essential oils or blends with any animal. I also work extremely closely with my own Board Certified Diplomate Exotics veterinarian, who supports my rattery, and is keenly interested in how I use the essential oils to support my rats health and sometimes healing.

I have spent $1000’s travelling from SC to Utah to attend the Animals and Essential Oils Conference, for lectures from veterinarians, scientists, herbalists, etc., to make sure that I am up to date.

I do not take the use of essential oils lightly or without first knowing what I am using down to its phytochemistry, how to use it properly, and its effects. Young Living oils are the ONLY oils marketed that have been FDA approved for internal use (GRAS), and are the most closely monitored, and tested, with the company owning the farms, distilleries, bottling and packaging/labeling facilities. They know who has handled their product, and how it has been handled from start to finish.  I have known them to dump an entire season's crop because it has been deemed to be substandard and that particular oil to then be out of stock until the next year!  This is QUALITY CONTROL at its finest.  I would never use anything with my animals that I wouldn't use on myself.
