Evolution Rattery Breeder Agreement

Hereinafter referred to as 'Breeder'
And
Receiving Rattery
Hereinafter referred to as 'Recipient'

1. Purpose of this Agreement
To maintain the integrity of established Evolution Rattery lines, ensuring their specific genetic traits and health standards are preserved.
2. General Expectations
The Recipient agrees to:
- Maintain ethical breeding practices at all times.
- Prioritize the health, temperament, and welfare of all animals.
- Accurately represent the lineage and pedigree information.
2. Naming Protocols
2a. Foundation Stock (F0)
All rats produced by Evolution Rattery must retain the prefix 'EVO' at the beginning of their registered name (e.g., EVO [Name]). This prefix may not be removed, modified, or substituted. Additionally, any rat that has been utilized in the EVO breeding program prior to transfer is ineligible for a name change; its original designation must remain exactly as recorded.
2b. First Generation (F1)
First Generation (F1) is defined as the offspring of any EVO Foundation (F0) rat, including backcrosses (F1 x F0). For F1 litters produced by the Recipient, the acronym 'EVO' must be included as a mandatory suffix (e.g., [Recipient Prefix] [Name] EVO). This suffix is permanent and may not be removed, modified, or substituted.
2c. Subsequent Generations (F2 and Beyond)
While no specific naming protocols are required for generations beyond F1, the Recipient is responsible for maintaining accurate records. You must be able to verify the lineage back to the EVO Foundation rats through formal pedigrees, breeding logs, or other public documentation.
2d. Out-crossed Lines
The Breeder maintains the right to revoke the use of the 'EVO' designation if a line has been altered through extensive outcrossing to the point that it no longer reflects the original line standards. Upon notification, the Recipient agrees to update all records and naming within a reasonable period.
2e. Misrepresentation
Misattribution of pedigree is strictly prohibited; the Recipient agrees to never falsely identify non-EVO stock as being derived from Evolution Rattery.

3. Health/Status Reporting
The Recipient agrees to notify the Breeder of the following:
- Significant or recurring health issues
- Genetic behavioral concerns
- Fertility problems
- Loss of the line or if the line is retired from active breeding.
4. Distribution (Sale/Transfer/Trade)
4a. Initial Non-Distribution
The Recipient agrees that any F0, F1, or F2 rats from EVO Lines are strictly prohibited from being sold, transferred, or traded as breeding stock.
4b. Distribution F3 and Beyond
The Recipient may only sell, share, or trade breeding stock to breeders who have received prior written approval from the Breeder. To seek approval, the Recipient must provide the prospective owner's name, rattery name, and contact information. Furthermore, any third party must sign the most current version of this Breeder Agreement before the transfer of any animals.
The Recipient agrees that any F0, F1, or F2 rats from EVO Lines are strictly prohibited from being sold, transferred, or traded as breeding stock.
4b. Distribution F3 and Beyond
The Recipient may only sell, share, or trade breeding stock to breeders who have received prior written approval from the Breeder. To seek approval, the Recipient must provide the prospective owner's name, rattery name, and contact information. Furthermore, any third party must sign the most current version of this Breeder Agreement before the transfer of any animals.
5. Recall Rights
Should the Recipient cease rattery operations or discontinue lines derived from EVO, the Breeder shall have the Right of First Refusal on all breeding-age stock. For the purposes of this agreement, 'breeding age' is defined as females under 14 months and healthy males of any age.
6. Conduct
The Recipient agrees that the publication of any knowingly false, disparaging, or defamatory statements against the Breeder or EVO Lines is strictly prohibited. Both parties agree to handle all disputes and concerns through private, direct communication. The Recipient further commits to maintaining honest, factual discussions in all public and private forums
7. Specific Line Restrictions
7a. Werewolf
Werewolf may not be sold, traded, or transferred to any other rattery without express written consent from the Breeder. Pet Adopters must be thoroughly vetted to prevent Werewolf rats from entering unauthorized breeding programs. If an unauthorized transfer occurs, including through misrepresentation, the Receiver must notify the Breeder immediately and assist in the recovery and repossession of the animals
7b. Nevermore Rodentry Lines
Evolution Rattery has acquired the 'Golden' gene from Nevermore Rodentry lines and is required by contract to seek approval before selling Breeding stock. A Nevermore contract must be signed in addition to this one prior to purchase. Breeding stock regardless of generation, may not be sold/shared/traded to a 3rd party without permission from Christina Cain.
Werewolf may not be sold, traded, or transferred to any other rattery without express written consent from the Breeder. 8. Breach of This Agreement
In the event of a material breach of this Agreement, the Breeder reserves the right to exercise any or all of the following remedies:
- The immediate revocation of all breeding rights for EVO breeding stock and their descendants.
- The compulsory return of said stock and descendants at the Recipient's sole expense.
- Public disassociation from the Recipient.
- The disclosure of factual, non-defamatory details regarding the breach to other ratteries.
- The permanent refusal of all future sales.
Submission of the Breeder Application Form constitutes the Receiver's formal acceptance of, and agreement to be bound by, all terms and conditions contained within this Agreement
