Rattery Rattenings

Adoptions have been suspended...

Cutting right to the chase, We are now under a Statewide stay at home order, and so as to not encourage anyone to make unnecessary trips out of the house, we have suspended all adoptions at EVO Rattery. BUT, that doesn't mean we don't have projects that we are working on in preparation of a return to normalcy in the not too distant future...hopefully.

Closing adoptions gives us the perfect opportunity to work on the lines that need refinement, such as improved markings in our new masked line, and continuing to always work on temperament.  Combining a few of our established lines, such as Harley and Silvermane, Silvermane and Downunder, and Dwarf with Werewolf.  Speaking of Werewolf, we are also pairing Werewolf/Marten carriers. We think having glowing red eyes will add to the creep factor of the Werewolves.  I'm really excited to see how they turn out.

This is also a great time for us to start a new project line of Whiteside marked rats aka Rats In Pants.  This marking shows as a band of white extending from mid-rib on one side of the rat, down under the belly and up to mid-rib on the other side.  When the underside of the rat is viewed, they look like they are wearing pants. Planned Pairings

1. Black Werewolf x Black WW Carrier
This might seem a strange back step, but in the world of breeding, pairing back to a carrier from the original outcross will strengthen more desirable traits.

2. Hooded Harley Burmese x Standard Burmese Harley Carrier
Hoping to continue to improve the coat on our original Burmese Harley Line with the plush coats that are carried by the German line.

3. Mink WW x Beige Dwarf
Looking to hopefully get a couple of female WW/Dwarf carriers as we only got 1 from the previous pairing.

4. Russian Cinnamon Whiteside Carrier x Cinnamon Blazed Whiteside
This will be the rattery's first whiteside litter.  Lets see what we get.

5. Black Silvermane x Black Varigated Downunder
Combining two lines here, and who doesn't like Downunder markings on all things.

6. Black WW/Dwarf Carrier x Light Phase Pearl WW/Dwarf Carrier
Hoping for Dwarf and Dwarf Werewolf

7. Black x Black WW/Marten Carriers
Hoping for Marten Werewolf...awoooooo

8. Fawn x Fawn
We lost our fawn line back in 2017 during the rat Seoul Hantavirus outbreak.  We were tested negative by the CDC, but during the shutdown, many of our rats became too old to breed and lines were lost.  Thanks to Ratnarok Rattery, we have Fawn back, and are excited to be working with them.

9. Blazed Marble x Fawn
We also lost our Marbles (pun intented) during the Seoul Shutdown, and again Ratnarok came through and we had one Black Blazed Marble boy from our first pairing.  He will be the father of this litter.

10. Swirl x Swirl Carrier
Our Swirl project has really taken a back seat lately, and needs to be brought back up to speed before we lose it.

11. Varigated x Varigated Downunder
Looking to improve the markings on the Downunder line.

12. Recessive Hairless x Recessive Hairless
First litter of our resurrected hairless line that was one of the very first lines bred way back when we started as Rainbow Row Rattery.  This is a line that is near and dear to us.

This is a long list, but will be spread out over many months. Its nice to see the plan laid out so we can see the progression of where things are going.

I hope everyone stays safe, treasure this time with your family and/or pets, Hope to see you all very soon.
